SANCTUM SANCTORUM

            The Human Species, the Homo sapiens sapiens, evolved and everything relating humans became obvious! So did start a new age, called Anthropocene, in the ‘Geological Time’ scale. Dear readers, may I say at this juncture that we are not going discuss Anthropology in this passage, and rather something else.

            Humans evolved, they migrated, crossing all the possible geographical borders and barriers, started settling into confined areas, entered into sedentary habit and so inevitably the ‘human – agriculture’ had to be evolved and developed. In this ‘Natufian Cultural Settings’, the cultivation of crops became intermingled with the domestication of wild animals and that gave the settlers more security of food. An ‘out-of-nature’ phenomenon originated, called ‘human – civilization’ to denote these organized human settlements.

            Since the early times till date, natural calamities and natural phenomena of catastrophic nature had have devastated these human settlements for innumerable number of times. The fear of unknown, fear of death and lack of scientific knowledge forced humans into the cult of offering ‘prayers to the super-natural powers’ so as to save themselves from the wrath of nature and the phrasal use of ‘religion and culture’ came into being. Low visual capabilities of humans in the darkness made them believe in ‘dark forces’ as most often death appeared from unknown and unexpected things during dark nights. This fear of ‘loss of life’ curved the ‘psychic perception’ of majority of humans in such a way that most of these ancient settlers could not think of knowing, learning and understanding ‘Mother Nature’s Laws and Principles’. Fearing and avoiding the very natural phenomena of Nature, worshipping of and praying to the dark forces and super natural powers, became the religion of ignorant humans.

            These human settlements and their cultures, and so their religions, being so widely distributed and well separated from each other geographically, climatologically, environmentally and psychologically, from continent to continent, had started assuming various shapes and hues. Slowly, and yet definitely, the religions or in other words, the religious faith, belief and culture diverged and started varying with communities.

            Since the time of ‘Pre-Palaeolithic Hunter-Gatherers’ till modern times, through the ages of ‘Neolithic and Metallic’, the agricultural and hunting tools continued to be invented and refined by humans.

             The increase in population proportionated inversely the agricultural land mass and compelled every individual and isolated human settlement to grab on an adjacent land, which consequently converged upon an encroachment of other settlers’ areas physically and psychologically. And thus the confrontations began. The peacefully co-existing communities became enemies of each other. As the time rolled in, wars broke in between these early human settlers. Aggressiveness in males turned them into warriors. Eventually and inevitably, the useful agricultural and hunting tools turned out to be weapons. With the advent of gun-powder, the inventories of human-weaponries swelled up. Warriors began to dominate in isolated colonies and from amongst the equals, the male-dominated societies evolved.

            The might and power overtook the peaceful progress with curiosities, inquisitiveness and thirst for knowledge in warring communities. Rituals superseded logic. The might without knowledge and logic dawned ‘the age of sinners’ which now can be considered synonymous with the Anthropocene. All here in this is an excerpt from the history of mankind over the last 10000years.

            This ‘human – civilization’ developed and progressed against all the ‘natural rules and principles’ which has been framed and designed by Mother Nature where species and individual are ‘brought forth and eliminated’ in an orderly and regulated manner. As per this designed framework, a species ‘is originated, a network-web with every other species is formed, is allowed to survive and is exterminated when found unsuitable in the network’, and summarily is described as ‘origin, evolution and extinction’. In modern scientific jargon this ‘Mother Nature’s Ruling’ is called ‘natural selection’.

            Human Civilization defied every ‘natural law and principle’. We can say to justify and simplify our notion, that the progress of this civilization costed every other species and sphere on this ‘blue planet’.

            As the Milky-Way travelled further, humans gathered more knowledge about their surroundings. The tools and weaponries had been refined, gadgets and instruments had been invented, with innumerable number of chemical processes happened to be known, humans began to modulate nature by transforming everything and anything which had been being naturally beautiful and perfect,  to curve in a niche of their own and the odds went against every possible ‘Principle of Mother Nature’ . The inventory of weaponries assumed the most devastating look with the arrival of missiles and nuclear arsenals. We loved describing these transforming processes as ‘modernization’.

            Modern times arrived. Wars and conflicts continued in between confined settlements which, with passage of time, had eventually become ‘sovereign countries’. Wealth and properties, called capitals, changed hands in between warriors depending on their might and power. The warriors became the rulers of the land. With capitals moving fast and so restlessly that uncertainty loomed upon the life of rulers. This fear psychosis gave birth of the art of ‘deception’, the mightiest weapon of them all, to rule the land.

            The deception too had inevitably been modernised in the ‘veiled disguises of religion, politics and economics’. To add another dimension to these disguises some more deceptive devices had been invented and termed as ‘The Holy Places’ where ‘the sinners could take refuge under the protection of religions and politics’. The structures were erected, with varying shapes and fervours, to deceive every divergent religious faith and belief, and were designated as temples, mosques, churches, gurdwaras and many others with similar meanings.

            Devotees and believers throng these ‘holy – places’ to offer their prayers under the aegis of preachers so as to purify themselves and to live in peace and harmony.

            Mother Nature did not design the origin of humans to end up like this. Now, at this “sinners’ – climax”, she unmasked and unveiled the disguise of the deceivers, the deceptive rulers, the religion-traders, the gun-trotters, the war-mongers and the rapists whose eyelids do not even shiver while they gorge on the body of a female child, a juvenile or even an infant. Now we see, we know and understand why in these so called ‘holy – places’, the terrorists and miscreants pile up their arms, and why peoples are killed within these holy – places, and why women are raped in those sanctums, because no ‘holy – spirit’ live in there and so no holy spirit could help those hapless, oppressed and distressed humans in these so called holy places.

            Mother Nature did never want the human race to be like this, to be a ‘freak of nature’. Every creature she creates is tested for its fitness to ‘exist in harmony with others, in tandem, to fit in the web of nature’. The same is true for humans. She tested the offspring of Adam and Eva with the tools of wisdom, knowledge, lust and greed to choose upon.

            Mother Nature then presented humans to God the Almighty, ‘the astringent eternal holy spirit of all forces and energies, to decide upon their fate. God then separated the ‘holy wise humans’ with knowledge, wisdom and intelligence from ‘the sinners’ with lust, greed and slyness.

            Then the Divine Commandments of Almighty God was heard in an Oracle. It was sermonized that “the holy wise humans shall possess all the power to enlighten the human societies and shall be able to save all forms of life the Mother Nature has created on the planet Earth. They shall be called the Doyens, the Pathfinders, and shall be empowered to guide the human societies, and shall assume many forms and be known as teachers, philosophers, saints, monks, priests, preachers, inventors, discoverers and pioneers. After their life on earth, the holy humans shall unite with the ‘eternal forces’ and can assume, at their will, any form, matter, and organic life, anywhere anytime they need to; and the sinners shall have ‘endless rebirth’ with all the sufferings and miseries, until and unless Mother Nature exterminate them forever”.

            Those holy wise humans then told us that there can be no holy places other than our body and souls. They said that with honesty and purity at heart, we shall possess the power to protest and fight against sin, crime, deceitful humans, the deceivers, and all the odds. They told us “thou purify thyself first to find, to see and to have all the holiness within yourselves”. And they told us that when we purify ourselves, then our soul become holier than all other holiness, the Sanctum Sanctorum.
